Interview with J Wils

The MC:

Before founding/developing Undadog Family (UdF) , out in Bridgeport, CT in the 90’s, I ran with a few crews as a dancer ( Shit, my skills were tight, that’s how I got my Wife!). One crew I ran with was Rally Round The Flag Productions. A crew of MC’s, Security, and a DJ.The were a well-known clique of pretty boys and grimy cats. It was great!

The DJ is today’s interview.A little back story on my “mans” and ’em….

” As a young child growing up in his native country of West Africa, Liberia, J. Wils aka LaSmouve, born Johantz Wilson, dreamed of being a DJ, Engineer and a Music Producer.

He started on the road to his American dream when he traveled at the age of twelve to pursue his education and became influenced by the hip hop culture. He had a love of music in his heart. While in the U.S. his late father, Charles H. Wilson sent him $1,000.00 for support. Johantz used all of the money to buy his first pair of techniques 1200 DJ turntables and that was the beginning of his American Dream!

Known as a super producer J. Wils, aka, Johantz “LaSmouve” Wilson, of Fat Joe and Terror Squad fame, produced, wrote, arranged and performed the record with it being mastered by veteran producer, Edwin Ramos Jr., whose credits include artists like Mary J. Blige, soundtracks for motion pictures such as Ali starring Will smith, and even daytime TV. With this type of star power, J. Wils’ “American Dream” is one hot record you should add to your playlist; one among many music hits in the album.

“American Dream” is one of many new records from J. Wils’ new album “The Muzik Iz In Me”, slated for release in summer 2013. The track has a melodic hip-hop feel to it, a hook that grabs you and remains with you as you go through your day. It is so catchy that it is already playing on Hot 93.7 FM radio station by DJ BILLY BUSCH , and soon to be added to other top hip-hop radio stations, rap music playlists, and other music channels. With this latest release, J. Wils sets himself apart from the competition. His musical style is different from Kanye West, Wiz khalifa, Chris Brown, Drake, Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, and others with his mix of rap, R&B, and hip-hop his music is not restricted to any particular style.

Asked about where is he expecting the single and the album to lead, J. Wils responded: “I expect to see The Muzik Iz In Me or American Dream in the Radio Top 100 playlist, top music downloads, top music mixtapes, top hip-hop songs, top music review sites and top music video sharing sites. Right now American Dream is on YouTube, share this hot new music on Facebook and Twitter!”

Now he wants to give back by offering $1,000.00 to one lucky person to start their American Dream by letting him know what they will do with $1,000.00 to start their American dream! You can be that lucky person by purchasing his brand new album titled “TheMuzik Iz In Me“on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify and other digital media.”
